Pomodoro study timer
Study in focused blocks with short breaks. Change the lengths to suit you; the timer chimes when each block ends and counts your sessions.
How the Pomodoro Technique works
- Pick one task.
- Work for 25 minutes with notifications off.
- Take a 5-minute break: stand up, stretch, get water.
- After four rounds, take a longer 15–30 minute break.
Short, timed blocks make it easier to start and help you notice how long tasks really take. For reading-heavy subjects, many students prefer 50/10.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. It tracks the real end time, so it stays accurate even if your browser slows background tabs.
Is 25 minutes the best length?
It's a good starting point. Try 50/10 for deep work once you're comfortable.
