Universities admit on selection rank: your ATAR plus any adjustment factors you qualify for (subject bonuses, equity and regional schemes). Enter yours to see where you stand against a course cut-off.

ATAR vs selection rank
Your ATAR is a rank (0–99.95) showing your position relative to your age group. Your selection rank is your ATAR plus adjustment factors. Course cut-offs published by UAC, VTAC, QTAC, SATAC and TISC are lowest selection ranks, not raw ATARs.
Adjustment caps and schemes differ by university and state, so check each institution's published rules. Your actual ATAR comes from your state's tertiary admissions centre after scaling; this tool doesn't predict ATAR from HSC, VCE or QCE scores.
Frequently asked questions
Can my selection rank be higher than my ATAR?
Yes. Adjustment factors are added on top of your ATAR, up to the university's cap.
Is an ATAR of 80 good?
An ATAR of 80 means you placed in the top 20% of your age group. Many courses have lowest selection ranks between 60 and 85.
